Paper Sheets
We have over 30 different varieties of handmade paper from Africa. The fiber paper sheets are made using fibers such as sissal, elephant grass and other plants that are available there. The cotton sheets are made using recycling cotton from the textile industry. Not dyes or colors were added in any of these paper sheets. The paper sheets are acid and lignin free and of course no trees were cut or destroy to produce this paper.
In these pages we show pictures of all the paper sheets with an explanation of their characteristics. There are no minimum quantities to purchase. The sheets will be mailed through USPS in a circular tube. Quantities over 5 sheets will be mailed in a flat box. If you want your sheets to be mailed in a flat box instead of the tube please let us know via e-mail when you make the purchase.

In the description of the pages we wrote the GSM of each sheet. GSM is a measure of the thickness of the sheet of paper. In order to have an idea of the thickness of each sheet of paper please see its GSM and compare it to the following chart:
10 - 40 gsm = tissue consistency
40 - 70 gsm = lighter textweight
70 - 100 gsm = medium text weight. Regular office paper is usually around 80 GSM.
100 - 120 gsm = is heavy text weight/ light cardstock
120 - 150 gsm = is regular cardstock weight
150 - 200 gsm = is heavy cardstock
greater than 200 gsm is super heavy cardstock
